Preparing and Finalising Accounts
The course is intended to ensure any basic problems or misunderstandings are eliminated at an early stage and to give a complete overview of preparing and finalising accounts from start to finish.
Most of the day revolves around a case study where participants will develop skills in:
- Producing a set of accounts from source records, together with supporting working papers
- Interpreting accounts, including the identification of problem areas
- Interviewing clients in order to gain information and resolve queries
- Establishing the journals required to finalise a set of accounts and completing a final sense check of the accounts
The course is suitable for anyone who has knowledge of the principles of bookkeeping and has been involved in accounts preparation assignments for between 3 and 9 months.
